Red Wine Storage

There are many different types of wine, and probably as many different ways to bottle and market a large harvest. Many of my personal favorites are the red wines of the family. There are some unique characteristics that wine should be taken into account for the storage and use red correctly. Important factors to consider are the type of wine, storage and serving temperature, humidity, storage and wine storage environment.

Some of the most popular wines include Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Pinot Noir and Zinfandel. Grenache grapes are often used as a blending additive when wines from other grapes and one of the most planted red wine in the world, especially in Spain and France. Other wines that are not as well known, but deserve mention are Barbera, Malbec, Sangiovese, Tempranillo, Nebbiolo and Gamay. Syrah and Shiraz wines are made from the same grape, but were developed using a single grape variety of techniques for preradu.Modernog era has brought increasing popularity of organic red wine, produced without synthetic fertilizers and chemicals.

the best rule is to use red wine to be stored at temperatures between 50 and 60 degrees F. When temperatures approach 90 degrees F., the wine can be easily damaged. Imagine that is August in the Arizona desert, stop to buy wine for dinner and leave in the trunk of your car while continuing to shop for a few hours. Your wine will be damaged. You will not be able to undo the damage if you rush home and put a bottle of wine in the freezer. The action gets his wine from one extreme temperature to another will also cause damage to it. Alexander J. Pandell has written an excellent article on how temperature affects the aging of the wine that is worth reading.

wine bottles are best stored in a wine cooler, bottle properly racked in a horizontal position and with a temperature precision regulirani.Vodoravnom position will ensure that the cork will not crack or leak from drying out. Relative humidity should be around 70 percent. Leaking caps can cause premature oxidation of the wine. Disruption bottles should be kept to a minimum to the best of your ability, especially if you intend to be a years time. Look for the slide out shelves in coffee wine cooler bottles to make access easier and reduce the movement of other stored bottles. Your storage device must be positioned away from direct sunlight to maximize your wine cooler's ability to keep the temperature constant.

Most red wines should be served at room temperature, which means an average of 60-65 degrees F. If the wine is served too warm, the flavor will be dominated by alcohol and is served cold, it will certainly be less flavorful. Red sweet and sparkling wines should be served cooler than room temperature, about 45 degrees F. lighter red like Pinot Noir and Zinfandel should be served around 60 degrees F. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, rich red wines are best when served at 65 degrees F. Use a serving guidelines, but a good wine often comes down to personal preference in balancing the flavor and taste of alcohol. It is best to experiment on your own when you serve your favorite red to find your personal niche temperature.
